I survived Otakon!

Yes, Otakon came and went...and it was teh aWeSum!  I got to meet a bunch of friends from online and ran around trying to do everything I could.

Ok, here is the rundown of the weekend:

Thursday Night

After work I headed over to my Scifi Club (phobos.ramapo.edu/~scifi/) friends' place and stayed there for the night.  We ended up going to a diner and then when we got back, watched the last 2 Angry Video Game Nerd videos. I brought a air bed with me...and..well...it's HUGE!...it barely fit in Kurt's room ^_^;.  Anywho, I went right to sleep.  The only downside to the night was the cats.  Cats + me = DEATH! Yeah...I'm allergic to cats...sad but true.

Friday

After waiting in my car for everyone else to make it outside, we were off!  I popped in my new Otakon mix CD and all was well.  Hehe, I make a new one of those every year....this year has everything ranging from Kappa Mikey, the opening to Lucky Star, and even all the Care Bears songs I had.........ok, I like Care Bears...so sue me.

We got to the hotel...and all I can say is WOW...Commie really outdid himself with the room.  He managed to bag a room at the Hyatt! PLUS, we had a view of the entire inner harbor. It was teh goodness!  Definately the best hotel I've ever stayed at....period!  

After getting settled, we made it to the con, and I proceeded to run around trying to find as many ppl I knew as possible.  I made it to artist alley and first met up with .  She made the best Al (from FMA) costume! I said my hellos and whatnot, and it was good seeing her again.  She's such a sweetie ^_^.  

Just around the corner, I finally met up with .  Hehe, her emo Shadow costume was great!  I introduced myself and we started talking for a bit.  I also met her b/f too!

My last stop was meeting with good ol' . I haven't seen him in like 2 years. He's a nice guy, but he gets VERY busy with his art.  I talked with him for a bit, and asked how Anthrocon was, and then was on my way.  Funny thing was, as I was leaving, I ran into Artie from TeamArtail (www.teamartail.com).

The rest of the day was a blur pretty much ^_^;...I was in and out of soooo many places, but all I can remember that I had a blast!

Saturday

Pretty much was like Friday, except that: a) Sat with at her table and drew for a bit b)Had a drinking party in the hotel room c) Went to the con drunk afterwards d) Ended up doing Karaoke while drunk!...w00t! (Ed, Kurt, and myself sang 'Escape from the City' from Sonic Adventure 2....and ROCKED!)

Sunday

Said bye to everyone, and headed home......and then had a LONG 6 hr drive.  DANG YOU TRAFFIC!

Overall, the con was one of the best yet!  I so need to go down there early and do a Thrusday to Sunday thing....2 and 1/2 days just isn't enough ^_^;
